Collection: A Call for Unity

Help Bring My Mother Home

My mother’s courage inspires me every day, and I believe it can inspire you too. Her only “crime” is her words, and while they have brought her to this unjust situation, our collective voices can set her free.

How You Can Help

1. Sign and Share Petitions

  • Sign the Petition: Call on Tunisian authorities to drop all charges and release my mother immediately. Sign the Amnesty International action here.
  • Share the Petition: Spread the word by sharing the Amnesty action on social media and with your personal network to amplify visibility.

2. Wear Your Support

  • Purchase Free Sonia items like T-shirts, tote bags, or postcards. Your contribution raises awareness and directly supports the efforts to free my mother.
  • Once you receive your item, post a photo on social media using these hashtags:
    • #FreeSoniaDahmani
    • #SayebSonia (Free Sonia in Tunisian Arabic)
    • #ReleaseHerMom

Every post strengthens the movement and amplifies her story.

If you're unable to purchase, you can still help us by sharing her story on social media using the same hashtags. Your voice matters! Please use it to inspire others to take action.

3. Advocate with Your Representatives

  • Contact Officials: Ask your local government representatives to pressure Tunisia to release my mother.
  • Demand Accountability: Encourage them to formally condemn Tunisia’s use of Decree 54 to suppress free speech.

4. If You Are an Artist

If you feel inspired to create art based on my mother’s case, please get in touch at releasemymom@gmail.com. Art has the power to shine a light on injustice and inspire meaningful change.

5. Educate Yourself and Others

  • Learn about Tunisia’s Decree 54 and how it is used to silence free speech.
  • Share this knowledge with your community to build awareness and understanding.

6. Stay Engaged

  • Follow Updates: Stay informed about my mother’s case by following updates.
  • Continue Speaking Out: Sustained public pressure is critical to securing her freedom.

My mother has always believed in the power of words to change the world. Now, it’s our turn to use our voices to fight for her freedom. Together, we can make a difference.
